Fee Structure & Transparency
We believe owners should understand the process, the likely costs, and the limits of what can be confirmed at each stage before making major decisions.
Revive is designed to provide a structured and transparent renovate-to-sell pathway for suitable properties. Not every project proceeds, and not every figure can be confirmed at the outset. Our aim is to help owners understand what is indicative, what depends on further assessment, and how Revive’s fees work if a project moves forward.
How the Process Works Financially
The Revive process usually begins with an initial review of the property and its apparent suitability for the model.
If the property appears suitable for further consideration, the next stage may involve a more detailed assessment process, which can include on-site review, preliminary title and compliance consideration, practical builder input, and market appraisal input where appropriate.
Project scope, budgets, and timing are not treated as final at the enquiry stage. They become clearer only as the property progresses through structured assessment and feasibility review.
What Is Indicative and What Is Confirmed
Initial figures are indicative only
Any early discussion around likely scope, budget, timing, funding pathway, or potential uplift is preliminary only. These early figures are intended to help determine whether further investigation may be worthwhile.
Formal assessment improves clarity
Greater cost and project clarity is only possible after more detailed review, which may include on-site inspection, practical scoping, title and compliance review, builder input, and market appraisal input regarding the property’s current and potential market positioning.
Revive Fees
Revive’s fees are separate from any lender-related arrangements and are disclosed as part of the project process.
Preliminary Assessment Fee
If your property appears suitable to move beyond the initial enquiry stage, a preliminary assessment fee of NZ$150 may apply.
This fee helps cover early-stage review and coordination work, which may include matters such as preliminary title review, practical builder input, and initial feasibility assessment.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, this fee is generally non-refundable, as it relates to time, review, and coordination work already undertaken.
Project Management Fee
If a project proceeds, Revive may charge a project management fee equal to 8% of the renovation contract value.
This fee relates to coordinating the renovation process and may be invoiced in stages aligned with agreed project milestones or drawdowns. The applicable structure and timing will always be disclosed before works begin.
Success Fee
If a project proceeds to sale, Revive may also charge a success fee at settlement.
The current success fee model is: 4% of any uplift above the agreed baseline as-is value.
This means the success fee is calculated on the amount by which the actual sale price exceeds the agreed baseline as-is position established at onboarding. If there is no uplift above the agreed baseline, then no success fee applies.
The baseline is generally determined using the lower midpoint of two independent ‘as-is’ market appraisals or comparative market assessments obtained at onboarding, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
What Owners Should Expect
A structured review before major commitment
A selective approach
The process is designed so owners can better understand likely feasibility before a full project proceeds.
Not every property is suitable for the Revive model. Some homes may involve structural, compliance, timing, funding, or market factors that make the project unsuitable.
Practical, sale-focused decision making
Clearer information as the process progresses
The aim is not renovation for its own sake. Revive focuses on practical improvements intended to support presentation, buyer appeal, and readiness for market.
The further a suitable property moves through review and feasibility, the clearer the likely scope, timing, and financial picture becomes.
Important Information
Revive is a project coordination and renovate-to-sell platform. It is not a bank, lender, mortgage broker, or financial advisor.
Any indicative figures, possible uplift, timeframes, or funding pathways are provided for general informational purposes only and may change depending on the property, market conditions, professional input, and project-specific circumstances.
Any lending pathway remains subject to eligibility, responsible lending requirements, and lender approval.
Final project scope, fees, timing, and budget parameters are only confirmed in the relevant service agreement and supporting documentation before a project proceeds.

Funding Pathways for Suitable Projects
For suitable projects, owners may choose to explore funding through their own lender, a registered mortgage adviser, or a selected third-party referral pathway.
Any lending remains subject to eligibility, responsible lending requirements, and lender approval. Funding is never guaranteed, and the most appropriate pathway will depend on the property, project feasibility, and the owner’s circumstances.
Revive is not a lender and does not provide financial, legal, or mortgage advice.
